Ventoux was conquered

Schroders’ Paul Truscott took one of France’s toughest climbs as his challenge. During their three day trip to Provence, they reached the top of Ventoux at 1,912metres and cycled 248km in total. They also sample a few beers/glasses of local wine (which was exceptionally good!) and strained a few muscles…but most importantly… managed to raise just over £8,200 for Cancer Research UK.

They did the big climb to the summit of the mountain on the first day – endless zig zag bends at 9 to 12% – windy and cold. Days 2 and 3 were easy by comparison, with some of the most beautiful French scenery and glorious sunshine.

The self-proclaimed “fat dads” from Tunbridge Wells said it was a great adventure. Paul certainly looks happy (and slim) here !
