Schtrictly Come Dancing
For the second time in CASCAID’s history, 10 amateur dancers took to the floor in December to show off their fancy footwork. Each amateur had around 8 lessons with a professional then took part in the live final, performing in front of 200 industry peers, friends and family. It was a truly spectacular night, generously hosted and organised by Schroders. Katie Wagstaff and Alex Monk acted as joint-MCs and were brilliant – the Tess and Claudia of our industry!
Our dancers were: Sheila Nicoll, Joffy Willcocks, Phil Wagstaff, Marcus Brookes, Katie Trowsdale, Ariella Levine, Anita Payne, Estelle Bibby and Edward Bonham Carter. Every single one of them was FAB-U-LOUS. We saw a range of dances including the jive, salsa, cha-cha-cha and waltz. Each dancer gave it their all and the panel of judges were reaching for their 8, 9 and 10 paddles throughout the evening. Congratulations to Findlay Park’s Reena Tailor for taking home the glitterball trophy with a perfect score of 40 for her amazing Argentine tango. All our dancers were winners….as was the charity with nearly £90,000 raised.
